Prepare 23.06 upgrade
Wazo is currently running on Debian 10 Buster. Wazo 23.06 will introduce an important change: the OS used to run Wazo Stack will be upgraded to Debian 11 Bullseye.
Why are you making this change?
Debian Buster is now obsolete and upgrading to Wazo 23.06 means that the OS has to be upgraded. There will be no other option than to upgrade the OS for Wazo versions past 23.05.
As of today, what should I do?
To make sure that the process goes smoothly when the time comes, make sure that:
- You are already using a recent Wazo stack, i.e. version greater than 23.01
- If you have made any customizations to your current Debian 10, please make sure that they are compatible with Debian 11.
What if I do nothing?
You will have the choice to postpone upgrading for a moment, but you won't benefit of any of the upcoming features and improvements that will come (and there is a lot). Despite this, sooner or later your Wazo version will be deprecated and you won't receive any support from us.
Preparing the upgrade as of today is the best thing you can do to ensure peace of mind for your company and your customers.
